Pathways
All Evolutions so far follow a strict path. They provide a specific attribute boost or PlayStyles and offer no flexibility.
That's changing in FC 27, as some Evolutions will start to provide branching choices.
For example, one option might improve dribbling and add a PlayStyle such as Technical, while another within the same EVO might improve defensive awareness and add a PlayStyle like Jockey.
Think of this as multi-chain Evolutions we often get, such as Build Your Future Stars, but in a single upgrade rather than spread across multiple.
Traditional linear upgrades remain as is. But some will offer different upgrade paths.
Chain Preview
In-game, it was painful to figure out whether one Evolution would rule out the card for another one because of some odd stat requirements.
Now, you can see how one Evolution can lead into the next before you commit. Among all available upgrades, you can see the best possible combo you can achieve right in the game and won't have to load a third-party database to do so.
PlayStyles Lab Update
FC 26 saw plenty of campaigns, starting with the World Cup update, that arrived without PlayStyles and could be customised per your choice through PS Lab.
