The FC 27 Ultimate Team Deep Dive just premiered, revealing all features and improvements coming to the mode.
The focus continues to be on tuning progression and offering players more ways to earn rewards and improve their squads.
In this article, we will go in-depth on all the features and improvements coming to Ultimate Team in FC 27.
Ultimate Team Focus on Progression Balance Continues

FC 27 is introducing more ways to progress in Ultimate Team via the FUT Gallery.
Players can now complete themed sets from their favorite players, leagues, and nations.
Sets are then graded; each grade unlocked provides rewards and bonuses for Ultimate Team and Clubs.
These rewards can be cosmetics or tokens. Tokens can later be used to buy Hall of Fut cards, a brand-new card rarity, and Rebalance Icon cards.
At launch, Hall of Fut cards will be exclusively available on the FUT Gallery.
The level of your FUT Gallery is the total score of all the sets you have completed. You will earn guaranteed holographic players, one of Ultimate Team's new card rarities, as you reach higher levels.
Single Player live events give users a new way to earn rewards, while competing through challenges that escalate against authentic and themed opponents.
You will be able to play with diverse squads across plenty of unique Live Events.
SBC’s have been overhauled, with the experience being much more streamlined than ever before.
In FC 27, it’s much faster and easier to complete SBCs, as there are no more chemistry or position requirements.
Instead, players will only need to reach a specific score to complete the SBC and claim the rewards.
The progression system also underwent some changes, with the main goal being the same as in previous years: to make items remain relevant for longer.
To achieve that, EA Sports made end-game items 20% less strong, restricted cards to a maximum of three PlayStyles +, and reduced the days of active promos by around five weeks.
Squad upgrades are slower and therefore more meaningful.
It will take players more time to make the transition from a weak to a strong squad. However, the leap from strong to elite will be easier and faster to achieve this year.
Future Evos will no longer invalidate each other, and promo squads will now be smaller, with a tighter OVR spread.
Rewards were also changed, with players receiving more coins and SP after every match.
Players will earn more FUT Coins and tradeable packs, as well as having more options to earn cards and other items via Tokens.
Evolutions now feature multiple upgrade paths, and players can also preview Evo-chains before committing a card.
The PlayStyle Lab will return at launch in FC 27 and will be available multiple times throughout the year.
At launch, players will be able to customize part of the PlayStyle Lab-eligible items, instead of rebuilding them from the ground up.
Higher-impact PlayStyles will be harder to obtain and cost more coins. All campaign and program cards will have Role ++ familiarity in their primary and secondary positions from launch.
This is everything new coming to Ultimate Team in FC 27.
