The time is coming for EA to unveil FC 26 as its predecessor enters the final stages of its cycle, but fans hoping for an earlier release shouldn't get their hopes up.
Previous rumors suggested FC 26 could launch early to coincide with the start of the 2025/26 domestic football season. However, a new leak all but refutes those claims.
What Is the Leaked FC 26 Release Date?
According to reputable EA FC leaker, @futlatestinfo, FC 26 will release worldwide on September 26, 2025. It's also stated that Ultimate Edition bonuses are likely to be similar to those included with FC 25.
Considering that EA tends to release a new FC entry every September, this leak does add up to previous release dates. September 26 also falls on a Friday, which again matches up with previous drops.
Understandably, this new claim will come as a disappointment to those who were hoping for an earlier release, with leakers initially reporting that August was being targeted as a potential release window.
Of course, the possibility of an earlier release can't be ruled out entirely since EA hasn't officially confirmed the release date for FC 26, but it would certainly come as a huge surprise if the latest leak isn't somewhat accurate.
What Do We Know About FC 26 So Far?
EA is keeping a tight lid on FC 26 right now, but several leaks have shed some light on the series' next installment.
The official logo and key art features a navy, light blue, purple, green, and yellow colorway, which will almost certainly feature throughout the game's UI.
Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham will reportedly be the cover star for FC 26. The Real Madrid and England midfielder made his debut appearance as the cover star for FC 25, but a long-term deal with EA SPORTS means he is set to take center stage once again.

Another leak, this time between @madfut.apps and @FutSheriff, confirmed that FC 26 will be available on both old and new-gen consoles, easing concerns for those who are still on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
There have also been some leaks surrounding Ultimate Team game modes, which you can check out here.
