Fresh leaks surrounding FC 26 suggest big changes are on the way, with Roles, Playstyles, FUT Champions, Division Rivals, and Tournaments all set to receive overhauls and new additions.

The leaks come after EA SPORTS reportedly promised "revolutionary changes" during a call with investors following the underperformance of FC 25, which caused a loss of $6 billion in value, @FGZNews reports.

Now, reputable leaker @DetectiveFUT has revealed some of the new additions and enhancements potentially coming to FC 26. While all of them may not seem revolutionary as such, they represent important changes that will no doubt add to tactical planning and the competitive nature of Ultimate Team.

With all that said, let's check out the latest FC 26 leaks being reported by DetectiveFUT below!

Live Events & Tournaments

A core part of FC 26 will reportedly be Tournaments in the form of Live Events rather than a new game mode. This could include:

  • Up to two tournaments a week (competitive & friendly)
  • Possible qualification needed
  • Cup & Card objectives (in tournament modes)
  • Bonus rewards on top of early SBCs

New Player Roles, Playstyles, & Focus

There will reportedly be new and updated Player Roles, Playstyles, and Focuses in FC 26. These could include:

New Roles

  • CB - Wide Back
  • CDM - Box Crasher
  • LB/RB - Inverted Wingback

Playstyle Updates

  • Enforcer (New)
  • Aerial - Aerial Fortress
  • Flair - Trailblazer

FUT Champions Overhaul

According to the leaks, there will be no more play-offs in FUT Champions, and some of the divisions will work slightly differently.

  • Div 5+ = FUT Champions
  • Div 6 or lower = FUT Champ Challengers, a new FUT Champions version for lower Division Rivals players only.

Division Rivals Overhaul

Last but not least, leaks suggest checkpoints could turn into Stage Events with objectives that give extra rewards, like score first in the next game, for example.

The mode may also include:

  • Win streaks = DOUBLE Rival points
  • Relegation protection for tough runs

Additionally, penalties for leaving too many games is a feature being tested. Players may not be able to queue for several minutes after receiving a time penalty.

It's important to note that all of these leaks are based on what's in the testing phase. This is not the final game, and things can change until the release.
