It seems Jude Bellingham is going to make back-to-back appearances in the EA FC cover, something that was last done by his teammate and world-class player, Kylian Mbappe.

According to reliable leaks, Bellingham has signed a long-term deal with EA Sports FC, which will make him the cover star of EA FC 26 and future franchise titles.

This is not something new, as Wayne Rooney, Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi, Ronaldo, and Kylian Mbappe have featured in consecutive covers. Rooney, the last English player to feature on the cover before Bellingham, was on the cover for an astonishing seven consecutive games.

The Real Madrid superstar will now pick up the torch of the legacy left by Wayne Rooney on the virtual pitch and become the undisputed face of the EA FC franchise for the foreseeable future.

Jude Bellingham is one of the biggest stars in world football, so it makes total sense that EA Sports FC wants to have him as their cover star for the foreseeable future.

As mentioned above, this is something EA Sports FC has done plenty of times in the past, and it has worked. Be it with Messi, Ronaldo, or way earlier with Rooney, EA Sports FC is not afraid to repeat their cover star.

However, while this has worked in the past, this time, it gathered mixed opinions from the EA Sports FC faithful. Many fans think the cover star should be different every year, as it creates more hype around the title and doesn't make the cover stale.

On the other hand, plenty of fans are happy to see a young mega star on the cover for a few years, as long as each cover delivers a unique art style. Bellingham and Real Madrid fans are, obviously, more than happy to see the English on the cover year after year.

It's definitely more exciting to have a new athlete gracing the front cover every year. Repeating the same cover star will make fans stop caring about the cover, and if you are EA, you don't want that happening.

Featuring the same player also kills the chances of other star players, such as Vinicius Júnior, Lamine Yamal, Florian Wirtz, and Harry Kane, to make a front cover.

EA Madden does a great job in this department, having a new player gracing the game's cover every year, which makes for some great and unique covers. It also builds a lot of hype for the cover star reveal, which greatly benefits the game.
