So far, FC 27 is making all the right noises. Gameplay improvements include less AI defending and nerfing PlayStyles, as well as career mode improvements like dynamic overall and Creator Challenges.

But all of that can be deceiving, or not feel like much of an improvement at launch.

How To Play FC 27 Free Trial

To play the FC 27 free trial, you need to subscribe to EA Play for $5.99 a month. Not exactly free, we know. 

The subscription provides a similar trial for most newly released EA games, and this is no exception. Likewise, trials begin with the early access date. 

Head to the game's store page on your preferred platform, and there should be an option to download the trial.

Unlike demos, this is a full game that you can try for 10 hours. Any progress you make in those hours is also carried over to the full release.

EA Play is included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, so Xbox players don't have to subscribe if you already have Microsoft's offering.

EA Play is the base subscription for EA games. There is an expensive EA Play Pro that'll give you full access to all EA games, including FC 27. It is only available for PC.

Will FC 27 Get A Demo?

Yes, it is confirmed that FC 27 will get a demo right at full launch on September 25, called FC 27 Lite. 

Earlier games used to have demos that offered limited Kick-Off mode before they disappeared following FIFA 20.

They returned a few years ago in the form of FC 25 Showcase and featured Club Rush alongside Kick-Off.

Showcase returned for FC 26. Some limited regions (Mexico and the UAE) had access to Ultimate Team content as well. 

FC 27 Lite is said to be a "free-to-download limited preview of the game available on launch day."

This means the version will include Kick-Off as the major mode.

Clubs being tied to The Grounds means it likely won't be part of the demo this time.
