The NBA 2K26 Gameplay deep dive premieres on July 31, and as the name suggests, it will reveal all the gameplay changes coming to NBA 2K26, which we hope are significant. You can watch it on the 2K Twitch channel.

Gameplay is the art and soul of every game, but is especially important in sports games. While NBA 2K25 wans't perfect by any means, last year's gameplay was the highlight of the game. However, that doesn't mean big changes don't need to be implemented.

The NBA 2K26 Gameplay deep dive will discuss the return of green windows to the Shot and Dunk Meters, changes introduced to give users more control over players, and improvements made to outcomes for shots, blocks, steals, passes, and rebounds.

All of the changes aim to make the NBA 2K26 gameplay experience the most realistic in franchise history, while also ensuring the game is enjoyable to play. Finding the perfect balance between simulation and arcade is very hard to do, but it's what makes a sports video game great, and NBA 2K26 is aiming for that.

We expect the developers to have listened to the community feedback and implemented new features and changes based on it. That's something that other huge sports franchises are focusing a lot on, such as EA FC, and hopefully, 2K will follow in their footsteps.

Previous gameplay deep dives have been quite exciting, and NBA 2K is in the right direction in the gameplay department. However, there is a lot of room for improvement, especially when it comes to online gameplay. Hopefully, the NBA 2K26 Gameplay deep dive addresses the problems MyTEAM and TheCity players faced in previous installments.

This is just the first of seven deep fives about NBA 2K26, which are coming in the next couple of weeks, and aim to reveal everything about the new title, while also creating hype for the release of the game.
