The Grind Vol 4 update is out and provides us with a new look at the Skate world, allowing us to take an in-depth look at the city of San Vansterdam, the new home of the Skate universe.
In this update, developers revealed all the neighbourhoods in the San Vansterdam city, what we will be able to find on each one, what they look like, and more.
A Skater's Dream City

San Vansterdam has four neighbourhoods: Hedgemont, House of Rolling Reverence, Market Mile, and Brickswitch. Each one contains something unique to the game, and all look astonishing.
Hedgemont is the main neighbourhood of San Vansterdam. It's here that Skate players will begin their journey, and where they can find unique challenges, missions, and other events.
House of Rolling Reverence is described by developers as the "heart of Gullcrest Village". This location allows players to perform some of the most insane tricks in Skate, making it the go-to neighborhood if you want to do some crazy stunts.
Market Mile is the corporate part of the San Vansterdam city, with tall buildings, plenty of staircases, and elevated walkways. It's every street skater's dream, with the amount of trick options being endless.
Last but not least, we have the Brickswitch neighbourhood, which is located near the Land Shark stadium, an area where you can perform some astonishing tricks.

According to the developers, you can climb buildings in Skate, and some in Brickswitch have empty pools, skate parks, and other things you can use to express your creativity.
This means you can climb to the top of the Land Shark Stadium and perform some unorthodox, and incredibly dangerous, tricks, if you feel like it. You can even try to skate from building to building, which is dangerous but also pretty exciting.
According to the developers, the favorite spots of players who are currently playing the Skate playtest are: Hartcore Plaza, Tri-Towers, and Upper Cut. So, make sure to visit them when you get the game or access to the playtest.
As expected, the city of San Vansterdam looks like every skater's dream place, with a plethora of unique locations to skate at, many tricks to try, and the chance to create iconic moments.
