FC Barcelona and German National Team Goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen is now a playable character in Rematch, the popular online multiplayer football game.
Announcing the news on their website, Sloclap said, "From Barcelona to the German national team, he's held the line under the brightest lights. Now it’s your turn to take the gloves."

Marc-André ter Stegen, FC Barcelona and German international Goalkeeper, has been added to Rematch as a playable character.
The shot-stopper becomes the latest high-profile name to join the Rematch roster, with Brazil legend Ronaldinho and Manchester United's Kobbie Mainoo also teaming up with developer Sloclap.
Marc-André ter Stegen is available to unlock via his exclusive bundle in the Rematch Store, costing players 1,000 Quants (the in-game currency).
Ter Stegen's arrival in Rematch comes shortly after Patch Hotfix 9 went live, providing gameplay changes and bug fixes. Most notably, the overpowered outfield dive (aka Dolphin Dive) and wall dribbling/climbing exploit were addressed by devs.
Rematch has surpassed 3 million players since its launch last month, with many enjoying its unique, fast-paced 5v5 football experience surrounded by vibrant and immersive environments ranging from the deep sea to futuristic cityscapes.
Sloclap says they will continue to provide regular support and game updates moving forward as the studio looks to build on Rematch's strong start on console and PC.
"Rematch is a game with a lot of complex interactions between mechanics, and even the smallest change can have a big impact on how the game is played," Sloclap stated. "At the same time, we must be able to answer serious issues in gameplay in a timely manner.
