For the first time, EA has provided a sneak peek at the FC 26 main menu after officially unveiling Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the Ultimate Edition cover star.
The Ultimate Edition cover recreates one of many iconic Zlatan pictures, with the legendary Swede striker sitting in his bedroom while reading a book about his idol, Ronaldo Nazario.
However, eagle-eyed fans spotted that the computer behind him was playing FC 26, with the main menu making its first public appearance.
FC 26 Main Menu Teased
The Ultimate Edition cover of FC 26 has been revealed, and while Zlatan Ibrahimovic steals the show, it's the appearance of the FC 26 menu that has people talking.
Placed on a desk behind Ibrahimovic is an old-school computer, and upon closer inspection, it appears to be playing FC 26. While it doesn't show gameplay or anything of major significance, it does provide a first look at its main menu.
Aside from a potential change in font and background cinematics, those familiar with the EA FC franchise will notice that it isn't a huge change from previous entries, which may not be surprising but slightly disappointing nonetheless.
Of course, this is just a tiny first glimpse of the game, and fans should reserve judgment until FC 26 is fully revealed tomorrow, July 16.
The FC 26 Official Reveal Trailer is currently scheduled on the EA SPORTS FC YouTube channel, which will likely kickstart a barrage of content and deep dives relating to the new game over the coming weeks.
While FC 25 made some positive steps in producing a more realistic and immersive experience, the community is calling on EA to make further improvements to gameplay, balancing adjustments, Career Mode, and more.
Whether those calls have been listened to remains to be seen, but fans don't have to wait much longer to find out.
